CD Packaging experiments

For some more experimentation work, we were asked to follow instructions to make different types of CD packaging. This first one I made by folding the A4 sheet of paper in different sections. At first it looks like a square envelope but as you start to fold the remaining sections of the paper it starts to look like cd packaging. I really like this idea of making packaging because it is very simple and quite quite to make. I think maybe to brighten up this 'envelope' add some colour. It could either be a different coloured piece of paper, or even adding a rainbow of inks to the paper and let them run into eachother to get a a unique effect. However, I do think that this type of packaging design wouldn't really suit the style of my chosen artist.

With this second CD packaging experiment it was a completely new technique with a lot more folding and it did take me a little bit more longer to get the right result. This time I used a coloured piece of paper. I do like the concept of this idea, as it uses a lot of folding methods and you don't need any stationary for this process. Also the amount of time that has gone into making this cd packaging. Where as the first technique is much simpler and secure enough to keep the cd in place; in my opinion I feel that this packaging will not really support the CD and my fall out of the 'case'.
